Here comes the new edition of the heaviest newsletter straight to your inbox.

We're going steady with a lot of new music released, and the angst of not getting to listen to music as much as you want is real. For real.

This is a new part in the newsletter I call, obviously, notable releases. It's releases I've already listened to or releases I look forward to hear, with my stupid comments about them included. I will try to have this section in every edition from now on. But I'm not going to promise anything.

Here’s the notable ones:

ETERNAL EVIL – The Warriors Awakening Brings The Unholy Slaughter

It doesn’t get much more 80’s style blackened thrash/speed metal. Probably the best kind of thrash.

IMPERIALIST – Zenith

Classic black metal with an industrial feel. Or sci-fi black metal as it’s apparently called.

K AMON K – Arca Ende Aeterna

Raw and atmospheric, but also very doomy. At times I get an DSBM vibe as well. Decent black metal.

NOISE TRAIL IMMERSION – Curia

Blackened post hard core with a touch of avant-gardeism. The atmosphere is sinister and kind of hypnotizing with the cold, sterile and monotonous soundscapes.

PLAGUE PATROL – Demo 2021

I’m a big fan of this kind of murky, rumbling doomy death metal. A beast of a demo. The vocal style reminds me a little bit of Martin van Drunen’s style, which I’m also a big fan of.

SWAMP COFFIN – Noose Almighty

I think the album title says it all. Seriously bleak, punishingly heavy sludge doom. If you want to feel miserable for a while, put this on. Nasty.

THE CHISEL – Retaliation

High quality old school punk. Enough said.
