Second part of the October roundup. Even though there’s 32 other good and interesting releases on this list there’s one album that stands out. Without much competition really. I’m always as excited when this band releases new music. They are constantly evolving and they add elements of something new on every album, but you can immediately hear which band it is. The band in question is the Finnish masters of psychedelic blackened avant-gardeism ORANSSI PAZUZU. Their new masterpiece Muuntautuja is a little bit more industrial with some electronic parts but they are still as trippy, psychedelic, weird and brilliant as they’ve been for many years now. An essential album of 2024.
